SOLU Residency and Open Studios (FI)

Installation and Collaborations - February 2022

The project began in collaboration with Shado Hart in Kilpisjarvi, Finland, where we reflected on the notion of territory. Recomposing the landscape is a proposition of an installation of the works made at the Ars Bioarctica Residency and Lau’s personal research on pigments and photography. The works presented were realized in collaboration with scientists and artists, initiating questions around cultural landscapes and our relationships with plants and others.

In SOLU, we wanted to respond to the location and create an intimate space for collective and personal reflection on the works done and their after-life. The space was open to develop itself through inviting artists (Ellenor Nish Rose and Cosmo Großbach) and visitors to connect and change it.

It’s a human re-composition where violence and care are entangled, hoping for a better understanding and co-habitation of the world in the future.
